학사 학위 (Bachelor degrees)

일반적인 학사 학위는 풀-타임으로 3년이다. 인문 사회 계열(Arts, Social Sciences), 과학 계열 (Science), 상경계열 (Commerce) 등의 학위가 해당한다.

전공에 따라 4년 이상이 요구되는 학위들이 있다.
4년 : 법학(LLB), 공학(Engineering), 농학(Agriculture), 일부 예능계열학과 (Music, Design등)
5년 : 건축학(Architecture), 치의학(Dentistry), 수의학(Veterinary Science)
6년 : 의학(Medicine)

강의는 보통 큰 강당에서 실시되고, 그룹 지도는 10명 정도의 학생들이 한 그룹을 이루어 교수와 함께 강의 내용을 더욱 심화 하여 토론하며 학습하게 된다. 이러한 그룹지도는 학생과 교수, 학생들 간의 개별 접촉을 용이하게 하고 학생들이 학습 과정에 능동적으로 참여할 수 있도록 한다.

학비는 인문.사회계열, 상경계열, 법학, 교육계열: 연간 A$8,500~A$13,000
공학, 컴퓨터, 정보통신, 과학계열:연간 A$15,000~A$18,000,
의학: 연간 A$23,500~A$30,000

편입의 경우 호주 대학교는 전공하려는 분야에 대하여 학점을 인정하고 있다. 한국 또는 다른 나라의 전문대 또는 대학교에서 이수한 학점을 인정 받을 수 있으나 전혀 다른 분야의 학점은 인정받을 수 없다.

우수 학사 학위 (Bachelor Honours Degrees)

학사학위 이후의 일년의 연구과정이다. 학사과정의 성적 우수자들에게 기회가 주어지며, 전공 분야의 전문화된 연구와 논문 제출이 요구된다. 이 1년 과정을 마치면 석사 연구 과정 또는 박사 학위로의 입학 자격이 주어지게 된다.
